The orchids you can't find in the supermarket

Established in 2006, we are a small business based in the Pacific Northwest whose goal is to provide the highest quality orchid plants at the best possible price. Just because you love orchids doesn’t mean you have to spend tons of money on them. We specialize in species, compact and miniature orchids, seedlings, and pre-blooming size plants.

Weather-related shipping delays
We are just recovering from almost a month of unheard-of continuous freezing temperatures here and can finally start shipping those orders received in December as weather at the destination permits. Because there is such a large backlog of orders, there may be a significant delay in shipping new orders. Please bear with us as we try to catch up on delayed shipping. Some plants in the greenhouse suffered damage from the cold, which is only now becoming apparent, so may not be in suitable condition for shipping. If any of your plants are in this category, we will let you know and offer the option of substitution or refund. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Winter Shipping Policy
Before we ship we always check the 10-day forecast for your area to make sure conditions are safe for shipping plants. If temperatures appear to be in the safe range, we always include a 72-hour heat pack except when shipping to destinations on the West Coast where temperatures are mild. If lows at the destination or transfer points en route are predicted to be less than 26 degrees F, we will hold your plants until temperatures are safe for shipping. If there are shipping delays due to weather conditions, we will notify you. We want your plants to arrive in good shape!

Special Sales: We continue to offer a free "companion plant" with any order of $20 or more. These are plants that are similar in culture to orchids, meaning that you can go away for several weeks, leave them unattended, and find them still alive and well when you return. Companion pants may include succulents, cacti, bromeliad-type plants, caudiciformes, and anything else that's drought-tolerant. They may be cuttings, seedlings, or bare-root plants. We'll choose whatever looks best and is most plentiful at the time of shipping. If you want a companion plant, you need to order it. It will not be included automatically. We do not want to send people unwanted plants. We continue to offer cattleya hybrid odds and ends for $3 each.

A word about our listings and shipping: Because we are growers, not resellers of mature plants, we typically have a limited number of plants of a given species or cross at any given time, and plants are in a variety of sizes. We try to keep the catalog up-to-date, but sometimes an item will sell out before we can remove it from the catalog. If that happens, we will notify you with an option to substitute or receive a refund. We usually have quite a few items that are not yet listed in the catalog, so if you're looking for something in particular, just let us know. Shipping is usually on Mondays or Tuesdays to arrive before the weekend, or on Fridays or Saturdays to arrive on Monday. Shipping is usually 1-8 days after payment is received. If there are longer delays due to weather conditions or other circumstances, you will be notified. If you need an order by a specific deadline, please let us know and we will do our best to have it to you by the target date.

Ordering and payment options: In addition to the online store, we accept phone orders (206-229-7919) and process US credit or debit cards by mail, e-mail, or phone. You can also pay by check.
